Oracle Tax team is seeking an Individual Contributor to join our Tax Compliance team in India, reporting to the Director of Tax in the US. This position is based in India. In this India-based role, the selected candidate will support requests from Oracle's Tax compliance team, working closely with multiple Oracle cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include assisting with tax compliance activities for acquired entities and providing regular analysis to the Tax management team. The candidate will manage the increasing complexity of tax compliance for newly acquired and formed entities. The role will support coordination with internal and external teams, ensure timely completion of tax checklists, assist with tax audits and inquiries, and handle critical documentation. The role will also help facilitate process improvements, manage responses to local tax notices, and archive historical tax data. Compiles information for statutory reports as well as internal tax reporting. Helps ensure the company complies with worldwide statutory tax reporting specifications. Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Oracle. By streamlining these tasks, the position ensures efficient tax compliance and mitigates risks related to filing delays and audits. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with internal tax managers, GCO team members, and external advisors in the handling of acquired company local country income tax compliance requirements.
  2. Help monitor tax checklists and collaborate with external advisors and Global Controllership and Accounting teams for completeness, including sending follow-up reminders to keep data requests timely.
  3. Monitor and facilitate the redirection of email requests for information to the appropriate individual and/or team.
  4. Prepare initial quarterly entity list for newly acquired and newly formed entities.
  5. Compile, organize, and verify data with Oracle’s Legal team, including Legal entity data from Oracle databases.
  6. Assist with responses to local country tax notices.
  7. Assist with data gathering for tax audits and inquiries.
  8. Support process improvement initiatives and other ad hoc special projects.
  9. Support in the gathering and archiving of acquired entity historical tax returns, provision calculations, tax return workpapers, computations, supporting tax return documents and elections, plus various other information, including maintaining shared document repositories.
