EY is seeking a Senior Manager / Engagement Controller to establish governance across engagement towers and act as the primary liaison for the Engagement Partner. The role drives engagement transformation, monitors performance metrics, and leads strategic discussions to sustain profitability and client value.

Ideal candidates bring 15–20 years in finance, strong experience in R2R, and a track record of automation-led improvements across multi-country delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent.
• 15–20 years in finance and accounting, incl. 5+ years in R2R leadership.
• Automation-led process transformation and ERP migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance across Towers for engagements and serve as single point of contact for Engagement Partner.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and scope with onshore partners.
• Drive service delivery transformation and monitor KPIs/SLAs.
• Manage client relationships and end-to-end engagement financials, including billing and renewals.
• Collaborate with Global Process Owners to onboard talent and ensure objectives are met.

Job Title:Senior Manager / Engagement Controller

Job purpose

The Engagement Controller is responsible to Build the Governance across all the Towers for an engagement.

He is a Single Point of Contact for the Engagement Partner and work closely with the Tower GPO's to deliver exceptional performance from quality and efficiency perspective.

He drives the engagement transformation , ensures the required performance metrics on the engagement is achieved.

Job Goals

• Key point of contact for customer and Engagement Partner.
• Identify pull through opportunities to increase revenue/TNR. and collaborate with onshore engagement partners to close these opportunities.
• Assist onshore partners in strategizing contract renewals and scope expansions.
• Determine the optimal mix of service delivery locations (local vs. central).
• Collaborate with Global Process Owners (GPOs) to onboard talent and ensure project objectives are met during various phases of engagement; pursuit, transition, data migration, implementation, and delivery phase.
• Identify scope creep ins and establish processes to price out-of-scope work.
• Working closely with the project management office on CRNs and billings.
• Drive engagement economics by tracking budget vs. actuals, fee and margin analysis, issuing PSMs, and monitoring timely client billing to minimize unbilled amounts.
• Collaborate with global process owners to drive service transformation.
• Lead client visits, showcase EY FMS capabilities, and organize workshops focused on process improvements and transformation.
• Enhance EY's value proposition to clients (e.g., cash flow, working capital, margin improvements).
• Promote EY strategic initiatives and support client adoption.
• Devise and maintain robust governance structures with clients and EY management.
• Monitor adherence to contractual KPIs/SLAs.
• Manage escalations, perform root cause analysis, and resolve client issues.
• Conduct annual client feedback surveys and identify improvement areas.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality, supporting governance around EYI My Doc.
• Periodically assess service delivery effectiveness through tracker and checklist reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Domain Expertise

• Demonstrate strong experience in managing shared services across P2P, O2C, and R2R processes
• Possess a solid understanding of global ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Bring hands-on expertise in financial modeling, particularly for contract negotiations and renewals

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Effectively lead and drive strategic discussions with EY leadership and client stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Confidently articulate engagement success stories and support client visits and business development efforts
• Take end-to-end accountability for engagement financials, including:
• Client contractual/SOW commitments
• Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded, while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations

Service Delivery & Transformation

• Lead and implement service delivery transformation initiatives to drive efficiency and value for clients
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities across processes and delivery models
• Support innovation by embedding best practices and automation initiatives

Leadership & People Management

• Act as a people leader, with proven experience managing multicultural and geographically dispersed teams
• Effectively communicate vision, strategy, and goals across engagement teams
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members across GDS locations to enhance performance and development

Internal Collaboration & Strategic Support

• Partner with the GDS FMS leadership team to support service line initiatives and strategic priorities
• Contribute to organizational growth through knowledge sharing, capability building, and internal initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience: 15-20 years of years in finance and accounting, including 5+ years in R2R leadership or process ownership roles.
• Proven experience in automation-led process transformation, process design, and capability development.
• Hands-on experience with digital platforms, ERP migrations, and analytics implementations.
• Prior exposure to multi-country delivery, client governance, and transition projects is highly preferred.
