Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Tanium Administrator for onsite roles in Chennai or Kochi. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of Tanium experience and will manage patching, endpoint visibility, and agent connectivity.

The position involves configuring maintenance windows, onboarding/offboarding endpoints, and supporting vulnerability remediation. The role requires hands-on experience with MS patches, deployment groups, and packaging applications not available in Tanium.

Qualifications

• Must have Tanium administration experience and patch management skills.
• Experience with endpoint onboarding/offboarding processes is required.
• Ability to resolve Tanium agent connectivity and basic configuration issues.
• Experience supporting patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Familiarity with creating deployment groups and packaging applications for deployment.

Responsibilities

• Download the MS patch and create deployment patch and group for monthly patches.
• Set the Maintenance Window for critical server/workstation/VDI patches.
• Resolve Tanium issues including agent connectivity and deployment failures.
• Support patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation workflows at a basic level.
• Assist with endpoint onboarding, offboarding and inventory/report validation.
• Patch endpoints with monthly MS patches via Tanium.
• Apply patches to fix vulnerabilities based on security incidents.
• Create deployment groups based on OU/Computer name for package deployment.
• Create MSI or EXE packages for apps not in Tanium.

Must-Have

1. Download the MS patch and create the deployment patch and group for the monthly patches to deploy them to the endpoints.

2. Set the Maintenance Window for any critical application server / Workstation / VDI based on business requirement.

3. Resolve common Tanium issues such as agent connectivity, endpoint visibility, basic configuration error and deployment failures.

4. Support patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation workflow at basic operational level

5. Assist with endpoint onboarding, offboarding and inventory / report validation

6. Patch the endpoint through Tanium with the monthly patches downloaded for MS.

7. Patch the endpoint to fix the vulnerabilities based on security incidents

8. Create seperate Deployment groups based on OU / Computer name to deploy the packages as per user request.

9. Create the .msi or .exe package for an appliation to deploy the software which is not available in Tanium
