Job summary

Thales, a global technology leader, seeks a Tactical Buyer Manager in Bangalore to lead order management, KPI setup, and supplier follow-ups. You will drive ERP analytics, dashboards, and cross‑functional collaboration to optimize regional procurement processes.

You will establish SLAs, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with Chorus 2, while collaborating with IS/IT and shared services to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Establish KPIs and SLAs for Tactical Buyers.
• Manage the ERP and Purchasing tools for analytics and reporting.
• Maintain Dashboards and report the Procurement performance through Dashboards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for streamlined processing of Orders.
• Liaise with Suppliers for streamlined processing of Orders and Delivery monitoring.
• Manage and resolve internal and external conflict as an escalation path.
• Provide general supervisory and instructional direction to the order management activities.
• Interface with IS/IT on issues or required modifications to local ERPs.
• Capture and cascade knowledge of global/regional commodity strategies to their respective teams.
• Ensure accuracy of order placement and cancellation.
• Interface with other shared services (Accounting) to capture required changes or modifications to purchase order documents.
• Ensure proper execution to process and procedure as per Chorus 2.
• Maintain regulatory compliance to Thales, regional, federal, or local laws & requirements.
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming needs.

Job Purpose

As Individual contributor, He/She The Tactical Buyer Manager is responsible for leading Order Management activities within a region. The role will be required to provide prioritize activities on Order management, Stakeholder Management and Supplier follow ups on a regular frequency. Additionally, the Tactical Buyer Manager will need to establish SLAs or KPIs for the tactical procurement team which meet or exceed the expectations of the region/service and support GBUs/BLs.
