Role Description

The Table Tennis Coach will work full time on-site at Sharwin Table Tennis Academy, located in Bengaluru. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting training sessions, teaching fundamental and advanced techniques, and developing individualized practice plans based on each player’s skill level and goals. The coach will observe and evaluate player performance, provide constructive feedback, and prepare athletes for tournaments and competitive events. Additional duties include maintaining a safe training environment, coordinating with academy staff and families, and promoting a positive, inclusive culture that encourages discipline, teamwork, and respect.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of table tennis fundamentals, advanced strokes, footwork, and game strategy, with the ability to coach players at beginner to advanced levels.
• Experience designing structured training plans, conducting drills, and preparing athletes for matches and tournaments.
• Effective communication and motivational skills, with the ability to give clear instructions, constructive feedback, and support to players of diverse backgrounds and ages.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain player safety, uphold high standards of sportsmanship, and foster an inclusive and respectful training environment.
• Previous experience as a table tennis coach or competitive player; coaching certifications or formal training in sports coaching are beneficial.
• Ability to work full time on-site in Bengaluru, manage schedules, and collaborate with academy management, staff, and families.
