Deloitte & Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Mumbai seeks a Manager to lead the Data Privacy & DTP team. You will develop data protection policies, oversee DPIAs, and guide clients on privacy governance and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in data privacy, deep knowledge of Indian privacy laws, and CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE certifications are preferred. This role requires strong leadership and client-facing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• Knowledge of data protection laws, especially India's Personal Data Protection Bill.
• CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or related certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead data privacy engagements and client relationships in the Mumbai office.
• Develop and implement data protection policies and DPIA processes for clients.
• Identify data processing risks and design mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance on governance, data handling, and privacy controls.

• As Manager in our Cyber Team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
• Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations for clients
• Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies for clients as per their requirements
• Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies as per client requirement
• Provide guidance and support to the clients on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), conducting risk assessments, data governance, application, privacy impact assessments.
• Design and build security / privacy framework, design/re-design processes and privacy controls to ensure framework development for clients
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance
• CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or any other related certifications preferred
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a related field
