Job summary

Deloitte & Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Delhi seeks a Consultant in our Cyber Data Privacy team. You will advise clients on data protection, implement privacy controls, and help navigate evolving Indian data protection laws.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance, familiarity with DPIAs, and strong analytical and communication skills; CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or related certifications preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, especially India's Personal Data Protection Bill.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in law, information technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations.
• Develop data protection policies and procedures for clients.
• Conduct assessments to identify data privacy risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate data processing activities for compliance with data protection laws and company policies.
• Provide guidance on DPIAs, risk assessments, data governance, and privacy impact assessments.
• Design and build security/privacy framework and controls for clients.

• As Consultant in our Cyber Team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
• Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations for clients
• Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies for clients as per their requirements
• Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies as per client requirement
• Provide guidance and support to the clients on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), conducting risk assessments, data governance, application, privacy impact assessments.
• Design and build security / privacy framework, design/re-design processes and privacy controls to ensure framework development for clients
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance
• CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or any other related certifications preferred
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
