Job description

Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer – Spacecraft Electronics to join our engineering hub in Bengaluru. In this full-lifecycle role, you will take technical ownership of flight avionics, power distribution, RF payloads, and embedded architectures—driving complex electronics from initial architectural trades through environmental qualification, launch integration, and in-orbit operations.

As a core owner of mission-critical systems, you will balance system-level budgets (power, mass, link, and data), lead Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and execute space-grade reliability assurance (FMEA, radiation derating). If you thrive on seeing your designs launch and operate in orbit, this is your platform to leave a permanent mark on space tech.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Architect Mission Systems: Design flight-grade system architectures, data-handling pipelines, and manage critical budgets (link, power, mass, and data throughput) across avionics and power subsystems.
  • Drive Full-Suite Qualification: Lead environmental and functional test campaigns, including HIL/SIL simulation, Thermal Vacuum (TVAC), vibration, mechanical shock, and EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Guarantee Space-Grade Reliability: Execute radiation analysis (TID/SEE), component derating, Worst-Case Analysis (WCA), and FMEA/FMECA to ensure mission survivability.
  • Lead Embedded & FPGA Integration: Design and validate embedded controllers, FPGA modules (VHDL/Verilog), and space-grade bus communications.
  • Deliver Cross-Subsystem Interoperability: Coordinate interface control across EPS, OBDH, ADCS, RF communications, and primary payload systems.
  • Execute Launch & Flight Ops: Provide primary technical support during spacecraft integration, launch site campaigns, Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP), and real-time telemetry analysis.
  • Own Technical Baselines: Author mission-critical Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and lead technical milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR).
WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR?
  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in satellite systems engineering, spacecraft avionics, RF hardware, or aerospace electronics integration.
  • Technical Depth: Proven background in space power systems (EPS), high-reliability PCB design, embedded architectures, and FPGA validation.
  • Space Protocols: Working proficiency with space communication buses and standards (SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, SPI, I2C, UART).
  • Testing & Reliability: Demonstrated experience with EMI/EMC standards, radiation mitigation principles, FMEA, and environmental testing protocols.
  • Tooling: Practical experience with MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE circuit simulators, test bench automation, and VHDL/Verilog.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE:
  • Direct experience with Smallsat/CubeSat constellations or modular satellite architectures.
  • Working knowledge of ECSS, ISRO, ESA, or MIL-STD space qualification frameworks.
  • Design proficiency in Altium Designer or KiCad, coupled with Python-based test scripting.
  • Active involvement in live launch campaigns, LEOP commissioning, or in-orbit anomaly resolution.
  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
WHY JOIN US?
  • True End-to-End Ownership: Take hardware through every phase—from white-board architecture and bench testing to launch-pad integration and live orbital ops.
  • Global Scale & Impact: Work on flight hardware serving international commercial and scientific missions.
  • Cutting-Edge Infrastructure: Leverage vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystems that combine advanced R&D with production scalability.
  • High-Caliber Team: Collaborate directly with seasoned satellite architects, mission planners, and propulsion specialists in an agile engineering culture.
  • Competitive Rewards: Attractive compensation, career acceleration paths, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
