  • Design guides and technical documentation for customers and internal teams.
  • Lab work with oscilloscopes, high-voltage probes, power analyzers, and electronic loads.
  • Collaborate with R&D, product marketing, quality, and operations teams.

Navitas Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced analog / power IC Design Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and silicon execution of next-generation power management ICs. This role is hands‑on and technical, with end‑to‑end ownership from concept through production, and close collaboration with systems, devices, layout, and validation teams. This is a key technical expert position for engineers who have successfully brought power ICs into high‑volume production and want to shape future architectures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Power Electronic System design – schematics and associated PCB layouts for reference designs, evaluation boards for internal demonstration and customer enablement
  • Digital control system design
  • Hands‑on experience working in motor control algorithm development
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink and PLECs for simulation and model‑based code generation
  • Familiarity with field bus communication
  • Define and optimize gate‑drive solutions, including gate resistance selection, protection features, and isolation strategies.
  • Develop high‑quality Application Notes, design guides, and technical documentation for customers and internal teams.
  • Conduct hands‑on lab work using oscilloscopes, high‑voltage probes, power analyzers, electronic loads, and other high‑voltage test equipment.
  • Provide technical enablement to FAEs and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with R&D, product marketing, quality, and operations teams to support customer programs and product development.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO’s)
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in power electronics design and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microcontrollers
  • Experience in embedded C software development
  • Solid hardware and software debugging skills
  • Experience with power electronics schematic and PCB design.
  • Strong knowledge of GaN FETs, gate driver technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Robotics, Motor Drives is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SIMetrix and PLECS, MATLAB, and PCB design tools such as Altium or Cadence.
  • Hands‑on experience in high‑voltage lab environments.
  • Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
Basic
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience in high‑voltage power electronics and semiconductor applications
Preferred
  • Proven experience in high‑voltage semiconductor testing and characterization
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics topologies used in robotics, motor drives
