Job summary

Apple Inc. Bengaluru seeks a Systems Electronic Integration Engineer (HWEE) to bridge design and manufacturing by leading the integration of sensing module technology into products.

You will work with factory teams, architecture, test, FW, system EE, silicon, and reliability groups to ensure smooth transitions toward mass production. Role requires hands-on prototype bring-up, DOE, data analysis, and on-site factory support with strong communication in English and Hindi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital circuits.
• Design experience in power electronics, board design, signal integrity, DSP, and microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of LRA, VCM, and audio/speaker technologies.
• Familiar with USB, SPI, I2S, I2C and UART and low power systems.
• Hands-on prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional verification.
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience in high-volume product design and manufacturing with statistical tolerance.

Description

We are looking for a Hardware Electrical Engineer that can help close the gap between design and manufacturing by working closely with the various factory teams to lead the integration of sensing module technology into products. This is done in partnership with multiple discipline teams including, but not limited to factory, architecture, test, FW, system EE, silicon, noise and vibration, safety, thermal, reliability, operations, regulatory teams, SW, QA and more.

Responsibilities

• Key responsibilities for this role include providing critical on-site support for factory builds during early prototype and engineering build phases of various Apple programs leading up to Mass Production. This requires you to be able to dig deep into any problems that may arise during a factory build and think critically to help resolve them in a fast paced, data driven environment. You will be expected to meet a high standard for analysis and manufacturing discipline, and work with cross functional teams all around the world to enable us to pass all specifications and requirements necessary to ship a product.
• Coordinate factory vendor activities and manage factory vendor team deliverables
• System bring-up, characterization, testing and validation
• System-level problem solving - failure analysis, root cause & corrective action proposal
• Debug test sequences on automated test equipment
• Use scripting skills to automate data collection process and extract key information from data analysis
• Design of Experiments (DOE) creation, execution and data analysis
• Write technical documentation (Eg. requirements, specifications and test plans)
• Review and analyze build data to help inform critical program decisions. Provide detailed build report, summaries and present findings with clear summaries and takeaways.
• Frequent business travel required, up to or exceeding 50%. (Primarily within India. To a lesser extent USA)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of industry experience
• Solid fundamentals in both analog and digital circuits and comfortable with tackling new challenges with critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Design experience in power electronics, board design, signal integrity, DSP, and microcontrollers
• Fundamental knowledge of LRA, VCM, and audio/speaker technologies
• Familiar with various communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2S, I2C and UART) and low power systems.
• Hands‑on experience in prototype bring‑up, debugging, and functional verification
• Familiar with lab equipments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with high volume product design and manufacturing as well as statistical production tolerance analysis
• Comfort with a fast‑paced environment and appetite for innovation, rigor & healthy paranoia
• Strong communication (written & verbal) in both English and Hindi
• Team player with the ability to work independently and drive things with minimal supervision
• Frequent travel within India will be required, depending on project requirements and build schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of industry experience
• Knowledge and experience in mechatronics and electromagnetism preferred. Any background in haptics, acoustics, or vibrations would be advantageous
• System level integration and experience working with cross function (e.g. Product Design, SW, Test) experts to collaborate on issue resolutions
• Direct coding experience in languages such as Python, Matlab and C would be a plus
• Good understanding of Gauge R&R methodology would be a plus
