Job summary

Mavenir is looking for a test engineering professional to design and execute tests for the Policy Control Function in the 5G Core. The role focuses on validating system functionality, performance, and reliability in cloud-native and virtualized environments.

You will design test cases, develop fixtures, and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage across integrated network functions.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and VNF environments.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for test automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps in Kubernetes ecosystems.

Role Summary

Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Going through 3GPP standards, architectural and design documents to come up with thorough and in-depth test plans for testing a Policy Control Function (PCF).
• Plan and execute end-to-end system testing for the 5G Core Network Function - Policy Control Function (PCF).
• Design and implement test cases to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Job Requirements

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and virtualized network functions.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and other container orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation in Kubernetes environments.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in a Kubernetes ecosystem.
