As a system technician,you are the expert for system diagnoses and remedying malfunctions in one ofthe defined Clusters: powertrain systems, driving stability and driving safetysystems, comfort and safety systems, and telecommunications systems. In theseClusters, you work on the current overall vehicle systems from theMercedes-Benz product range. Thanks to your comprehensive and special systemknowledge and excellent technical competencies, you can independently work oncomplex repair orders in your special area and efficiently restore the functionof the customer's vehicle. Through good treatment of the customer's property,expert knowledge, and appreciation of the brand and product, you promote theimage of the product and service organization, thus contributing to customersatisfaction.
Training
- Trained and certifiedtechnology specialist in a motor vehicle service profession or proof ofcomparable competencies
- Initial training InMercedes-Benz-specific maintenance operations, workshop systems and processes,and diagnostic systems
- Further training and trainingin a Cluster
- Annual participation in producttraining courses by Mercedes-Benz as part of the market launch of newvehicles/systems.
- Preferably should havecompleted Certificate course in Automotive Mechatronics (CAM) or AdvancedDiploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM).

Vehicle and product technology
- You possess good general systemknowledge and in-depth knowledge in your defined Cluster.
- You possess expert knowledge ofthe structure, function, and networking of systems, components and majorassemblies in your Cluster, which can explain in detail to others, if needed.
- You are familiar with the operationof all the current vehicle systems and functions in your Cluster, which you canexplain in detail to others, if needed.
- You can systematically performcomplex repairs and assemblies in all basic systems that fall under yourCluster, as well as new parameterization and software updates.
- You can operate complex vehiclesystems in your Cluster and also explain them to others (e.g. customers), ifneeded.
- Using initialinformation/operator's manuals, you can quickly become familiar with modifiedand new systems and equipment and can confidently operate them.
- You have a good command of allthe maintenance, test, and adjustment operations or rapidly become familiarizedwith these.
- You possess good knowledge ofStar Diagnosis (incl. Measurement Technology) and other specific diagnosistechniques in your defined Cluster. (E.g. emission testers, axle alignment,brake test stands, etc.).
- You possess good knowledge ofthe diagnosis strategy (five-level model) and are able to perform complexdiagnoses in a methodical, confident, efficient, and structured manner.
- You can recognize the point asof which further diagnosis steps become inefficient, whether further specialmeasures are needed, and initiate following steps.
- You can interpret actual valuesand fault symptoms and make appropriate fault hypotheses.
Diagnosis competence
- You are able to draw up anddocument complex diagnoses, particularly in the case of networked systems, andto pass these on to third parties together with specifically structuredcomments.

Diagnosis
- Performing a visual inspection
- Performing difficult andcomplex diagnoses with the help of Diagnostic Technician in your respectiveCluster using the latest diagnosis technologies, processes/methods, andprocedures.
- Checking equipment and data forup-to-datedness and quality and preparing the vehicle or required diagnostictools. Performing systematic and structured diagnoses (in accordance withdiagnostic strategy) using the information from the customer complaint, actualvalues, and specifications from the Diagnosis Assistance System.
- Researching workshopinformation and checking it for up-to-datedness and quality.
- Independently performingcomplex removal and assembly procedures, including adjustment operations, withyour own quality check (e.g.. repairs to automatic transmission or remedies forengine running complaints).
- Installing comprehensive andcomplex components and systems in the vehicle, networking them with the vehiclesystems, and professionally commissioning them (e.g. telematics, stationaryheaters, trailer hitches, etc., depending on your Cluster).
- Independently planning andperforming all types of complex repair operations that are required to restoresystem functions. While using all of the available workshop information system.

Qualifications
As a System Technician,you behave in a brand and service-oriented manner both to customers andcolleagues. You are reliable and trustworthy and can motivate your team.
Should possess a CertifiedMaintenance Technician (MT) qualification and further system technicianqualification trainings or completed Mechatronics course in MB India.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as aMaintenance Technician (MT) in MB dealership.
