Job summary

Tarana Wireless Inc is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and integrate core system software for gigabit wireless communication systems. You will work on independent tasks, lead feature development from requirements to design and documentation, and collaborate with local and remote teammates.

Responsibilities include designing interfaces and state machines, implementing modules in C++ on Linux, performing design and code reviews, and debugging across complex embedded

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering with 6–12 years of experience; M.E./M.Tech./MS/PhD preferred with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong C++ programming experience across Linux environments.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems programming, IPCs, multithreading, sockets, and network protocols TCP/IP.

You will be working on the design, development, and integration of critical elements of system software forour gigabit wireless communication systems.

You need to have the ability to work independently, communicate ideas clearly, lead features (requirements, design, documentation) to their completion, understand issues, and come up with optimal solutions to resolve them on time. You should be passionate and excited to learn continuously and collaborate with other local/remote team members.

Job Responsibilities:

• Requirements gathering, high-level design, and documentation
• Interface design, protocol state machine design, and test framework design
• Implementation of modules on a C++/Linux system
• Design reviews and code reviews
• System integration and debugging involving complex embedded hardware platforms
• Performance optimization of network and packet processing

Required Skills & Experience:

• B.E./B.Techin Computer Science/Engineering with experience ranging between 6 - 12 years. M.E./M.Tech./MS/PhDis preferred with 4 - 6yearsof relevant experience.
• C++ programming experience
• Experience with Linux-based development: debugging, user and kernel tracing, benchmarking
• Deep understanding of Linux programming:IPCs, multi-threading, socket programming, system programming
• Knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP), protocols, Internet architecture
• Working knowledge of protobuf, gtest, gmock, grpc, build tools (bazel) is desirable
• Knowledge of Python, Go, Bash scripting is a plus
• Experience with version control systems (git), collaboration tools (ticket systems)

Extensive knowledge in any of the following areas is preferred:

• Cloud networking protocols, security (TLS, crypto)
• Embedded software development, especially kernel drivers
• RF or wireless protocol development
