Job summary

Tata Electronics is seeking a senior System Validation Engineer to lead validation across EVT, DVT, PVT and NPI phases. You will define test strategies for hardware and embedded firmware, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure production readiness with robust quality metrics.

Responsibilities include designing validation plans, executing tests, and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure smooth product launches and strong post-launch quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics.
• Strong electronics hardware and embedded firmware knowledge.
• Expertise in test methodology across EVT to NPI lifecycles.
• Experience with functional/integration/reliability/system testing.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, debuggers, and E-test equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, EMI/EMC standards.
• Experience with test automation tools and data analysis.

• Lead system-level validation and integration activities across EVT, DVT, PVT, and NPI phases, ensuring products meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements.
• Develop validation strategies, test plans, test cases, and execution methodologies for hardware and embedded firmware-based products.
• Perform functional, integration, reliability, and system verification testing to validate product readiness for manufacturing and customer deployment.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of hardware, firmware, and system integration issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Define and execute Design Verification, Failure Analysis, DFT validation, and production readiness assessments.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics, yield analysis, defect trends, Cp/Cpk measurements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support End-of-Line (EOL) test strategy validation, troubleshooting processes, and manufacturing test readiness activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to ensure successful product industrialization and launch.
• Manage test documentation, defect tracking, validation reports, compliance records, and quality performance dashboards.
• Provide technical leadership during customer reviews, audits, supplier interactions, and cross-functional program discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of electronics hardware, embedded firmware systems, and hardware-software integration validation.
• Expertise in product validation methodologies across EVT, DVT, PVT, and NPI lifecycle stages.
• Proficiency in functional testing, integration testing, reliability testing, and system-level verification of electronic products.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, debuggers, and environmental test equipment.
• Strong understanding of DFT principles, failure analysis techniques, and hardware troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements, including ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, safety regulations, and EMI/EMC standards.
• Experience with test automation tools, scripting, defect tracking systems, test management platforms, and data analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of PCB design interpretation, schematic analysis, debug tools, and manufacturing test processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Desired Experience Level

• 5-10 years of experience in System Integration, Product Validation, Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or Electronics Product Development.
• Proven experience validating integrated hardware and embedded firmware products in consumer electronics, industrial electronics, automotive, telecommunications, or similar industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing system integration test plans, validation strategies, and end-to-end test execution frameworks.
• Experience supporting NPI programs and transitioning products from development to manufacturing.
• Strong track record in root cause analysis, failure investigation, yield improvement, and production quality enhancement.
• Experience working in global, cross-functional environments with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Exposure to establishing EOL testing, production validation processes, and manufacturing quality controls.
• Experience preparing validation reports, defect summaries, quality dashboards, and executive-level technical reviews.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15-20% for customer meetings, supplier visits, audits, and program reviews.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and drive successful product release outcomes.
