Moonrider.ai is seeking a Systems Engineer (1D simulations) in Bengaluru to develop system- and vehicle-level 1D models for analyzing powertrain, thermals, hydraulics and vehicle dynamics. You will translate theory into practical simulations and collaborate with hardware and mechanical teams.
The role requires a Mechanical engineering background (Bachelor’s/Master’s) with 2–4 years of experience in vehicle performance and multi-physics simulations, along with strong analytical skills and clear
Strong fundamentals in Vehicle dynamics, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics,
energy systems and powertrain engineering.
Experience in design calculations for various systems using fundamentals of
Mechanical, thermal and electrical systems.
Hands-on experience with tools like Matlab simulink, GT Suite, Amesim, Altair
twin activate or equivalent tools.
Develop system level & vehicle level 1D models to analyze and optimize Powertrain,
thermals, Hydraulics and vehicle dynamic behavior.
Develop and analyze models for heat transfer and fluid flow, applying strong
theoretical fundamentals to practical engineering problems to meet defined
performance targets.
Exposure and in-depth understanding of electric vehicle systems and architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware design, mechanical design,
Python/Matlab scripting capability is preferable.
Document simulation methodologies, assumptions, and results according to
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical or similar domain.
2 to 4 years of experience with Vehicle performance simulations, system simulations,
powertrain simulation & Multi-physics simulations.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to clearly communicate simulation results to all
stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ownership mentality.
