Job summary

IDX isn’t your average communications company. IDX is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our IT Support team in Vadodara. You will maintain, support, and improve the organisation's IT infrastructure to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and available for day-to-day operations.

You will work with internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, implement infrastructure improvements, and provide support across servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of System Administration / IT Operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, AD, and Azure AD.
• Experience managing endpoints with Intune or similar MDM.
• Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization.
• Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• PowerShell scripting and automation familiarity.
• Azure basics desirable; familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow/Jira SM.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policies, and user administration.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Support endpoint management using Intune or similar MDM solutions.
• Monitor system performance and ensure infrastructure availability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, software, and network issues.
• Configure virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Manage backup, DR, and business continuity processes.
• Support LAN/WAN/VPN/Wi‑Fi/DNS/DHCP/firewalls; apply updates.
• Maintain documentation and SOPs; collaborate with Cyber Security teams.

The Gig:

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer to join our IT Support team. You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and available to support day-to-day business operations.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, implement infrastructure improvements, and provide technical support across servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policies, and user administration.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

• Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology implementations.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support and participate in on‑call support when required.

About You

• 2-5 years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Support, or IT Operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience managing endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune or equivalent MDM solutions.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Basic understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure is desirable.
• Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar platforms. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Willingness to support business operations outside standard hours when required.
