Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, or Embedded Systems.
• 3–10 years in Automotive Systems Engineering or BCM/BDC/Body Electronics domains.
• Experience with requirement management tools and standards.

Role Summary

The Systems / Requirements Engineer - BDC (Body Domain Controller) / BCM (Body Control Module) Domain is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing system requirements for automotive body electronics functions. The role involves translating customer needs into system requirements, ensuring traceability, supporting system architecture definition, and collaborating with software, hardware, and validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer, vehicle, and feature requirements for BCM/BDC functions.
• Develop and manage system requirements, use cases, functional specifications, and requirement traceability.
• Support system architecture and interface definition activities.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, network, and validation teams to ensure requirement implementation and verification.
• Perform requirements reviews, impact analysis, and change management.
• Support vehicle-level feature validation and defect analysis.
• Ensure compliance with automotive development processes and industry standards.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of automotive body electronics systems (Lighting, Door Control, Power Windows, Wipers, Smart Entry, Immobilizer, etc.).
• Experience in Requirements Engineering and Systems Engineering processes.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Diagnostics (UDS), and vehicle networks.
• Hands-on experience with DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, JIRA, or similar requirement management tools.
• Familiarity with ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), and V-Model development lifecycle.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, Embedded Systems, or related discipline.
• 3-10 years of experience in Automotive Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, BCM, BDC, or Body Electronics domain.
