Role Overview

Hosted Operations Department maintains and manages internal and hosted hardware and software and systems. This position is a Systems Administrator for internal and hosted systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Update tickets by gathering information and defining the ticket urgency.
  2. Complete assigned tasks and tickets by following documented procedures, including Staging, Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, and Maintenance of software and physical and virtual servers and workstations.
  3. Research, develop, document, and train on procedures for Tier I Support and Systems Administrators.
  4. Communicate professionally and include relevant information when handing off tickets to appropriate teams.
  5. Troubleshoot ticketed problems, including coordinating with Vendor support teams.
  6. Take on-call shifts for after-hours escalation of urgent issues.
  7. Define, submit, and complete Change Requests.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4 years of Systems Administrative experience or equivalent education.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for servers and systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of shared documentation.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Good understanding of networking.
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory, Windows Clustering, and backup solutions like Veeam.
  • Experience with Hyper-V and SAN administration.
  • Ability to create and debug PowerShell scripts.
