Accountabilities

1. Act as a functional subject matter expert for accounts payable (vendor master, invoice processing, payments), procurement processes and related digital technology, providing consulting to various functions and units within Syngenta on procurement, invoice processing, and accounts payable needs and challenges.
2. Lead all techno-functional aspects in visioning, architecture, design, implementation and sustaining of state-of-the-art solutions in close collaboration with internal and external suppliers.
3. Co-create target architecture and roadmap in collaboration with functions and IT teams.
4. Solution configuration in the system, testing, and co-define custom development design.
5. Author and/or review solution design documents, functional specifications, and test specifications.
6. Execution of proof of concept/prototype in the system to evaluate the feasibility of the generated idea/solution design.
7. Ensure design decisions meet immediate requirements and are aligned with long-term strategic needs.
8. Work with implementation partners, consultants, and internal IT teams for successful project delivery.
9. Collaborate closely with relevant Business & Functions stakeholders for the assessment of current application-supported processes and find opportunities for continuous improvement and automation in the procurement, invoice processing, and accounts payable processes.
10. Network with peers and vendors to stay on top of technology innovation and benchmark Syngenta against leading practices.
11. Evaluate and propose new solutions, tools, technology, improvements in existing solutions and processes.
12. Develop business cases for new projects or enhancements and ensure successful project initiation and execution.
13. Drive a holistic global approach along the end-to-end process, partnering with business units and market organizations to ensure solutions meet local customer needs.
14. Apply agile methodology and maximize speed-to-value.
15. Opportunity to work on new age technology like process mining, robotic process automation, low code platforms.

Qualifications

1. Proven technology consulting experience of min. 10 years in procurement, invoice processing, and accounts payable.
2. Relevant hands-on functional and configuration experience.
3. Knowledge of SAP FI-Accounts Payable and MM (Purchase requisition, Purchase order, goods receipt) is a must; knowledge of other Finance modules is an asset.
4. Proficiency in relevant tools like VIM and Ariba.
5. Implementation experience of 2 or more projects.
6. Experience in e-invoicing tools like SAP eDoc, Edicom, or similar.
7. Experience or understanding of hyperautomation concepts and tools such as process mining (e.g., Celonis), low code platforms, robotic process automation.
8. SAP (VIM, Ariba, S4/HANA etc.) certifications are an advantage.
9. Understanding of service management platforms (e.g., Service Now) is an advantage.
10. Project management experience.
11. Experience working with Change management tools like Jira, Solution Manager.
12. Strong influencing skills, proven ability to rally cross-functional stakeholders in a complex organization behind a common approach.
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
14. Ability to drive outcomes and operate hands-on.

Minimum Education Requirements

1. Master’s degree or equivalent in information management, information technology, or another business or scientific field in combination with relevant practical experience in information management.
2. Fluent in English (verbal and written).
