Job summary

Atlantic Park Surf is seeking a Surf Lagoon Lifeguard to help keep guests safe in our dynamic wave lagoon. You’ll monitor surfers, enforce rules, respond to emergencies, and operate the wave system from the control tower. Ideal candidates hold a lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid, have strong swimming skills, and communicate calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification (Red Cross, Ellis, or equivalent) preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Clear communicator with a calm, confident presence under pressure.
• Prior ocean lifeguarding or aquatic facility experience preferred.
• Understanding of surfing/surf culture preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of guests in and around the surf lagoon.

• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
• Provide exceptional guest service and assist guests with questions or concerns.

• Participate in regular training and drills to keep your skills sharp.

Surf Lagoon Lifeguard

As a Surf Lagoon Lifeguard, you’ll be on the front lines of ensuring guest safety in one of the most dynamic environments in our facility. You'll monitor surfers, enforce safety rules, respond to emergencies, operate the wave from our control tower, and be a friendly face for our guests. Whether it’s answering a question with a smile or springing into action during a rescue, your presence matters.

Compensation will be $16-$18/hr to be determined based upon prior experience and assigned roles / responsibilities.
