Job summary

SP Software is seeking a Lab Infrastructure & Device Support Engineer to maintain lab infrastructure and ensure machines and devices are operational for engineering and testing activities. You will manage Confluence documentation and coordinate hardware movements, flashing, and troubleshooting across Linux/Windows environments.

Qualifications

• 13 years of hands-on experience in lab infrastructure or hardware support.
• Proficient with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with device flashing and debugging in labs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ESD/EHS and lab safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab infrastructure and keep Confluence documentation up to date.
• Monitor machines/devices and troubleshoot connectivity, power, and cabling.
• Raise and follow up IT/Proto Lab tickets until resolution.
• Track lab hardware including devices, debug boards, cables, power supplies, racks, and benches.
• Raise hardware movement requests and maintain inventory records.
• Set up and connect new machines/devices to the device farm.
• Perform device flashing and Meta flashing as required by engineering.
• Support basic Linux/Windows troubleshooting and lab infrastructure bring-up.
• Follow ESD/EHS and lab safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve issues.

• Maintain lab infrastructure and keep Confluence documentation up to date.
• Monitor machines/devices and troubleshoot cables, PDU, USB hubs, power, and connectivity issues.
• Raise and follow up on IT/Proto Lab tickets until resolution.
• Track lab hardware including devices, debug boards, FPC/USB cables, power supplies, racks, and benches.
• Raise hardware movement requests and maintain inventory records.
• Set up and connect new machines/devices to the device farm.
• Perform device flashing/Meta flashing as required by the engineering team.
• Support basic Linux/Windows troubleshooting and lab infrastructure bring-up.
• Follow ESD/EHS and lab safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve infrastructure and device-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 13 years of experience in lab infrastructure, hardware support, device testing, or a related role.
• Basic hands-on knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with hardware/device troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with USB hubs, PDU, power supplies, cables, and lab equipment.
• Basic understanding of hardware inventory and asset management.
• Experience with device flashing and device/test farms is preferred.
• Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ESD/EHS and lab safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering and IT teams and adapt to changing requirements.
