Supply Chain Business Systems Data Steward
Location: Hyderabad, India.
As a Supply Chain Systems Data Steward, you will work with different internal cross‑functional business teams in NEXTPOWER Supply Chain and our Business Systems Implementation Partner. You will serve as the single point of contact for all management of all data elements using different systems and tools. You will be the go‑to person for any supply chain data‑related process flows and ensure standardization of processes to collect, link, organize, maintain, and collate the different master data sets used by all supply‑chain stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand NEXTPOWER’s current business processes and data models.
- Operational oversight for supply‑chain cross‑functional data objects:
- Oversee the lifecycle of key data sets.
- Define and implement policies and procedures for day‑to‑day operational and administrative management of systems and data, including intake, storage, processing, and transmission of data to internal and external systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot supply‑chain specific cross‑functional data as needed.
- Update Arena Part Master Data – Supply Chain attributes.
- Screen and approve Arena ECO/MCO for SC specific data updates.
- Troubleshoot data transmission issues between Arena and Anaplan.
- Identify owners for SC specific data objects, establish and report current state of data quality for key objects on a regular cadence.
- Produce Arena data quality reports on a weekly basis.
- Support new and ongoing business‑systems projects for data‑related needs:
- Gather requirements from different stakeholders about data needs for new projects and document them for implementation across business systems.
- Data quality reporting and monitoring:
- Establish data‑quality metrics and requirements, defining acceptable values, ranges, and parameters for each data element.
- Work with the business team to establish procedures for detection and correction of data‑quality issues and collaborate to establish policies, procedures, and internal controls affecting data quality.
- Serve as SPOC for ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality, identify anomalies and discrepancies, and contribute expertise to understand root causes and implement corrective measures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Strong business acumen and 1–2 years of experience in a data management/governance role, preferably within the supply‑chain function.
- Prior experience working with product lifecycle‑management software such as Arena.
- In‑depth knowledge of data modelling, data integration, data configuration, and general database concepts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel; SQL scripting and macros is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic data‑warehousing processes and concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem‑solving skills.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
