Job description

Under general supervision, the Supply Chain Coordinator - Level II supports end-to-end supply chain planning and coordination by analyzing demand and supply data, maintaining planning parameters, and ensuring optimal inventory levels. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align supply plans with customer demand, improve material flow, resolve supply chain issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position also contributes to reporting, planning accuracy, and operational excellence while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and business standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support demand and supply planning activities by analyzing demand trends, inventory levels, and planning data to maintain a stable and efficient supply chain.
  • Monitor inventory performance and planning parameters, including reorder points, safety stock, lead times, and other planning settings, ensuring alignment with Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles.
  • Perform supply and demand analysis, identify potential risks or shortages, and recommend corrective actions to improve supply chain performance.
  • Execute approved planning parameter and forecast adjustments within planning systems to optimize inventory and customer service levels.
  • Coordinate with planning, procurement, warehouse, transportation, and manufacturing teams to resolve material, transaction, and system-related issues.
  • Monitor shipment movement, transit performance, and logistics activities, escalating exceptions and supporting timely resolution of delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and records related to supply chain activities, inventory, shipments, and planning processes.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical reports to support operational decision-making and KPI tracking.
  • Support purchase order management, planning attributes, EDI/Kanban processes, and material flow coordination.
  • Participate in simulation and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of planning changes on supply chain KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, material flow, inventory optimization, and process efficiency.
  • Follow Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Complete required training and actively contribute to personal and professional development.
Skills & Experience
Experience
  • 1–4 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Coordination, Logistics, Global Logistics, Materials Planning, Procurement Operations, or related functions.
  • Experience with freight forwarding organizations or import/export logistics is preferred.
  • Exposure to inventory planning, transportation coordination, or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain planning principles, inventory management, and materials planning.
  • Experience with MIS reporting and data analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret operational data.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is preferred.
  • Understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and shipment monitoring is desirable.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, planning attributes, EDI, and Kanban processes.
  • Knowledge of lead time management, route mapping, transit issue resolution, and logistics coordination.
  • Understanding of inventory optimization, PFEP concepts, and supply chain KPIs.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools is an advantage.

Qualifications
  • Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • High school diploma or equivalent may be considered where supported by relevant work experience and applicable regulations.
  • Export control or regulatory compliance requirements may apply for certain positions.
