Job summary

RGBSI in Mumbai seeks a Supplier/Vendor QA Engineer (Mechanical) to strengthen the quality control of supplier parts. The role requires a mechanical/production/automotive/industrial/aeronautical degree with 5+ years of experience.

The candidate will tackle quality issues in weldments, machining, fabrication, and other commodities, utilizing GD&T and standard problem-solving tools, while coordinating with global suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mech/Prod/Automotive/Industrial/Aero/Space Eng with 5+ years' experience.
• Experience resolving quality problems in part manufacturing across weldments, machining, fabrication, ceramics, etc.
• Knowledge of GD&T, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA; strong communication and Lean Six Sigma basics.

Responsibilities

• Resolve quality problems during part manufacturing/qualification/shortages across commodities.
• Understand manufacturing processes (welding, sheet metal, machining, assembly) and apply problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; address supplier non-conformance and supplier issues.
• Coordinate with remote/global suppliers and stakeholders; set annual quality goals and execute plans.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communications; prepare and present status updates.

Job Title: Supplier/Vendor QA Engineer (Mechanical)

Shift- S2/S3

Bachelors degree in Mech/Prod/Automotive/industrial/Aeropsace Engineering with Work experience of min. 5 years for Bachlors degree.

• Experience in resolving Quality problems during Part Manufacturing/ qualification/ shortages that are related to across Commodities like, Weldments, Machining, Fabrication, Ceramics etc.


• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, sheet metal, machining, Assembly) and various problem-solving tools (8D Problem solving, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA etc.).


• Ability to understand Engineering Drawings (Machined/ fabricated part, Assembly part) and GD&T.


• Understanding on Non-Confirmance Process and Supplier Issues related Process assessment and experience in setting annual quality goals and executing to plan.


• Excellent communication (written & verbal) & presentation skills.


• Fair understanding on Lean Six Sigma Process.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in MS tools (Excel, Powerpoint), SAP database, PLM system and PowerBI Apps.


• Experience handling Suppliers at remote location and global stakeholders.


• Experience in Problem Solving & Decision making for any supplier related issues during Part Manufacturing or shoratges.
