Job summary

GSK India is seeking a Supplier Quality role on-site to manage supplier quality activities across our India operations. You will lead investigations, CAPAs and supplier change controls, and work with procurement, site teams and regulatory partners to ensure GMP compliance and reliable supply.

The role requires reviewing supplier documentation, performing audits, and driving continuous improvement with clear ownership and timelines across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in supplier quality, QA, or manufacturing.
  • Experience in GMP regulated environments, supplier audits and CAPA.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with supplier documentation, change controls and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact for supplier quality issues across sites.
  • Review supplier docs, certificates of analysis and compliance records.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with timelines.
  • Track supplier risks affecting quality or supply continuity.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification and transitions.
  • Prepare updates and reports for governance forums.

Position Summary You will manage supplier quality activities across our India operations to protect product quality and support reliable supply. You will work closely with suppliers, procurement, site teams and regulatory partners. You will lead investigations, track corrective actions, and drive supplier improvement. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Maintain and manage the approved supplier database and supplier compliance documentation.
  • Lead supplier investigations, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and ensure timely closure.
  • Negotiate, create and maintain Quality Agreements and manage supplier change controls.
  • Plan and execute supplier audits and self-inspections, and support regulatory inspection readiness.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key quality indicators and prepare summary reports for governance.
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers and coordinate technical transfers and change implementations.
Responsibilities

  • Track and elevate supplier risks that could affect product quality or supply continuity.
  • Support cross-functional teams during supplier selection, qualification and supplier transitions.
  • Prepare clear, timely updates and reports for stakeholders and governance forums.
Why You?
Basic Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or a relevant manufacturing role.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Practical experience with supplier audits, CAPA management and change control processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

This role is on-site at a GSK India location and will require travel to supplier sites as needed.

Preferred Qualification
  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Microbiology, Chemistry or a quality-related field.
  • Experience with supplier qualification for APIs, excipients or packaging materials.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and risk management tools.
  • Proven track record of leading supplier improvement projects and audit remediation.
  • Experience with quality or data systems and tools for reporting and tracking.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry with exposure to regulatory inspections.
