Philips in India is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to evaluate potential suppliers, drive rigorous quality processes, and coordinate APQP activities in NPI programs. You will implement CAPA measures, ensure CtQ communication, and support supplier development to achieve compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with R&D and suppliers, on-site hybrid work in Maharashtra, and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and process validation.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
  • 5–7 years in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, CCPs, and supplier quality processes is preferred.

Aufgaben

  • Evaluate potential suppliers via technical capability assessments and support supplier selection.
  • Implement DFMAT, SAF, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PV&V, FAI, LRA, SICR processes.
  • Lead APQP activities during NPI projects to ensure quality and timelines.
  • Document supplier quality requirements in the Supplier Project Book for clarity.
  • Foster DfX collaboration between R&D and suppliers to improve design quality.
  • Communicate CtQ characteristics to suppliers and maintain quality throughout production.
  • Manage Part Submission Warrant plans, line releases, and approvals for parts.
  • Support supplier development on APQP and drive compliance.
  • Review Supplier Agreements and coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Requests to resolve issues.

Supplier Quality Engineer - BP MR

Job Description
  • Evaluates potential new suppliers through technical capability assessments, ensuring they meet the company's rigorous standards and can deliver high-quality components and assists in the supplier selection.
  • Executes DFMAT (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Technique), SAF (Supplier Approval Form), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), PV&V (Process Validation and Verification), FAI (First Article Inspection), LRA (Logistics Risk Assessment), and SICR (Supplier Initiated Change Request).
  • Executes, monitors, and controls APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes during NPI projects to maintain consistent quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Contributes to the Supplier Project Book by documenting detailed quality requirements and expectations for suppliers, ensuring clear communication and compliance.
  • Facilitates Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration between R&D and suppliers to enhance product design quality, leveraging supplier expertise for better design outcomes.
  • Ensures Critical to Quality (CtQ) characteristics are clearly communicated to suppliers and rigorously maintained throughout the production process, securing consistent product quality.
  • Executes Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line releases, and completion, ensuring that all parts meet specified quality standards before they are approved for use.
  • Supports supplier improvement and development on APQP, providing guidance and resources to help suppliers enhance their quality processes and achieve compliance.
  • Reviews Supplier Agreements, conducts thorough analysis of defects to determine if they are supplier-caused, and coordinates Supplier Corrective Action Requests to address and resolve quality issues effectively.

Minimum Required Education
