Job summary

Applied Materials India is seeking a procurement professional to lead commodity strategies and supplier governance for our Bangalore operations. You will align sourcing plans with manufacturing goals, optimize supplier participation, and manage core agreements to support cost and delivery targets.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, supplier onboarding, and proactive issue resolution within a global materials engineering context.

• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of competition and differentiating factors.

Responsibilities

• Aligns and implements commodity strategies.
• Manages the maintenance of supplier agreements that structure business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
• Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with commodity strategies.
• Engages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the supply base.
• Supports resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time.
