Job summary

RSM US LLP in Bengaluru seeks a senior Supervisor to lead Canadian R&C engagements, overseeing financial statement preparation, tax returns, and audits while ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will coach junior staff, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate with Canada-based teams to deliver high-value insights for clients.

The role requires CA/CPA/ACCA qualifications with relevant experience or a strong accounting background, and a proven ability to work across international

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA qualified with 4 years of experience or ACCA/CPA with 5 years of experience.
  • Prepare bookkeeping records and financial statements for compilation and review engagements.
  • Prepare Canadian T2 corporate income tax returns and ensure compliance.
  • Perform financial analyses including variance, ratios, YoY and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements per applicable standards.
  • Apply ASPE, IFRS, and GAAP knowledge for accurate reporting.
  • First-level technical reviews for compilations; in-charge reviews for reviews.
  • Collaborate with engagement partners and managers to deliver client engagements.
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, timelines, productivity, and plans.
  • Identify delivery risks, delays, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Supervise Senior Associates and Associates across Canadian R&C engagements.
  • Mentor and develop team members; drive performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team focused on service excellence.
  • Coordinate with Canada-based teams and clients for effective communication.
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Develop understanding of client businesses and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize RSM's review/compile methodologies and best practices.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Leverage internal systems and technology to streamline delivery.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Manage smaller engagement clusters and regular cluster calls.
  • Coordinate international job allocations and resource planning with RM teams.
  • Support workforce planning for optimal utilization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Non-Qualified: 6+ Years of relevant experience.
  • CA Qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience.
  • Prepare bookkeeping records and financial statements for compilation and review engagements.
  • Prepare Canadian corporate income tax returns (T2) and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, ratio analysis, year-over-year (YoY) analysis, and cash flow statement preparation for review engagements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Apply technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and GAAP to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Perform first-level technical reviews for compilation engagements and in-charge reviews for review engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with engagement partners and managers to deliver high-quality client engagements.
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, timelines, productivity, and work plan adherence.
  • Identify and proactively elevate delivery risks, delays, client dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Supervise, coach, and review the work of Senior Associates and Associates across Canadian R&C engagements.
  • Provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and development opportunities to support team growth and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on service excellence.
  • Partner with Canada-based engagement teams and clients to facilitate effective communication and information flow.
  • Follow up on outstanding requests, resolve open items, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, industries, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations to deliver value-added insights.
  • Utilize and promote RSM's review and compilation methodologies and best practices.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Effectively leverage internal systems, tools, and technology to streamline engagement delivery.
  • Take ownership of assigned deliverables and consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Manage smaller engagement clusters and facilitate regular cluster calls.
  • Coordinate international job allocations and resource planning in collaboration with Resource Management teams.
  • Support workforce planning to ensure optimal utilization and delivery capacity.
