Job description

About SuperK

SuperK is building India's next-generation omnichannel retail platform focused on serving value‑conscious consumers across Tier II, III and IV cities.

Backed by marquee investors and operating across multiple business models, SuperK is on a journey to scale rapidly while maintaining strong unit economics and capital efficiency.

With over 150 stores today and an ambitious roadmap to scale to 500+ stores, we are reimagining neighborhood retail through a combination of technology, supply chain excellence, private labels, membership programs and data‑driven decision making.

As we scale, finance is expected to play a central role, not merely as a control function, but as a strategic partner that shapes business decisions, allocates capital effectively and drives sustainable profitability.

About The Role

This is not a traditional FP&A or reporting role. As Lead Business Finance, you will serve as the finance business partner to the business leadership team, helping shape the commercial and strategic direction of the company.

You will own the financial architecture that supports growth, building scalable frameworks for profitability, capital allocation, planning, commercial decision‑making and business performance across SuperK's omnichannel ecosystem.

You will work closely with leaders across Operations, Category, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology and Expansion to ensure every major business decision is financially sound, scalable and aligned with long‑term value creation.

If you enjoy solving ambiguous business problems, influencing strategic decisions, building from first principles and working in a high‑ownership environment, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to create one of the strongest Business Finance functions in Indian retail.

What You'll Own
  • Co‑own the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), rolling forecasts, and business performance reviews.
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver revenue, margin, profitability, and cash flow commitments.
  • Drive data‑led decision making through structured business reviews and actionable performance insights.
  • Own the commercial and financial architecture across stores, channels, categories, memberships, and private labels.
  • Continuously improve pricing, gross margins, promotions, vendor funding, product mix, customer acquisition economics, and channel profitability.
  • Build scalable profitability frameworks and strengthen unit economics across all business models.
  • Evaluate and govern investments across store expansion, new formats, supply chain, technology, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build robust business cases using ROI, IRR, NPV, payback, and scenario analysis.
  • Monitor post‑investment performance to improve capital allocation and investment discipline.
  • Partner with Category, Supply Chain, and Operations to improve inventory productivity, cash conversion, working capital, and ROCE.
  • Embed cost‑of‑capital thinking into business planning and decision making.
  • Support leadership on high‑impact strategic decisions including expansion, pricing, partnerships, new business models, and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Provide financial clarity through commercial analysis, scenario modelling, and structured problem‑solving.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to Operations, Category, Supply Chain, Marketing, Membership, and Technology teams.
  • Influence business decisions through commercial insight, financial rigour, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Build scalable performance management frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and financial operating mechanisms.
  • Institutionalise metrics that improve accountability and enable leadership to manage a rapidly scaling omnichannel retail business.
What Success Looks Like
  • Built a best‑in‑class Business Finance function.
  • Institutionalised robust business review mechanisms across the company.
  • Established profitability frameworks across every business vertical.
  • Created scalable financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Improved investment discipline across expansion initiatives.
  • Strengthened capital allocation and working capital efficiency.
  • Become a trusted advisor to business leadership.
  • Helped improve SuperK's profitability while supporting rapid business expansion.
Who We're Looking For
  • CA, MBA (Finance/Strategy) from Tier‑1 institutions preferred.
  • Candidates from IIMs, ISB and other leading institutions are encouraged to apply.
  • 4‑8 years of experience in Business / Strategic Finance.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, grocery, consumer internet, e‑commerce, quick commerce or omnichannel businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills and strong commercial and strategic thinking.
  • Expertise in business case evaluation and investment appraisal.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems into structured financial frameworks.
  • Thinks like an owner, influences without authority, and thrives in ambiguity.
Why Join SuperK?

This is an opportunity to build, not inherit, a Business Finance function.

You’ll work directly with founders to define how financial decisions are made across one of India's fastest‑growing omnichannel retail businesses.

You’ll influence capital allocation, profitability, commercial strategy and business expansion while helping build the financial operating system that supports SuperK's next phase of growth.

If you're excited about solving complex business problems, building from first principles and creating long‑term value, we'd love to hear from you.
