Job summary

JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited – Bangalore is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our steel detailing team. You will prepare budgetary and final estimates, apply technical knowledge, and support cost-effective solutions for complex projects.

The role requires 3+ years in estimating steel detailing, proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, Tekla Structures, and reading US design drawings; tilt-up facilities and schools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience specifically in estimating steel detailing projects.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Bluebeam, and Tekla Structures.
• Experience reading US design drawings.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in tilt-up panel manufacturing facilities and schools is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or assist in completing budgetary and final estimating of scopes of work.
• Apply technical knowledge to support efficient estimating and cost-effective solutions.
• Responsible for detailed cost estimates and qualification development for bid proposals.
• Perform detailed structural and miscellaneous take-offs.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy.
