Job summary

JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited – Noida invites an experienced Editor to join our Steel team. You will create and edit shop, GA & single part drawings used by steel fabricators, ensuring compliance with project specs and JMT standards.

We seek candidates with a Diploma/BTech in Mechanical or Civil, about 1 year of Tekla Structures editing experience, and exposure to US Commercial projects. Proficiency in reading design drawings and preparing precise shop drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BTech in Mechanical or Civil.
• Around 1 year of experience in Editing using Tekla Structures.
• Experience in US Commercial Projects.
• Expertise in preparing shop drawings & single part drawings using Tekla Structure.
• Able to prepare shop drawings according to customer specification.
• Preference for candidates with Tekla, AISC, OSHA & CISC standards experience.
• Ability to read design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit shop, GA & single part drawings for steel fabrication.
• Review project specifications and requirements for compliance.
• Review connection design drawings for weld requirements.
• Maintain drawings that are clear, organized, and aligned with standards.

We are seeking an experienced Editor to join our dedicated team in the Steel team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and edit shop, GA & single part drawings to be used by the steel fabricator to assemble the steel members
• Review and interpret project and client specifications, standards, and requirements to ensure full compliance
• Review connection design drawings for weld requirements
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail to ensure drawings are professionally presented, well-organized, and aligned with design documentation standards
• Ensure all fonts, spacing, dimensions, and drawing annotations are clear, consistent, and compliant with JMT Standards
• Incorporate review comments, corrections, and continuous improvements based on feedback from checkers, project managers, and clients to maintain project quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/BTech in Mechanical or Civil
• Requires around 1 year of experience in Editing using Tekla structures
• Requires experience in US Commercial Projects
• Expertise in preparing shop drawings & single part drawings using Tekla Structure
• Able to prepare shops drawings according to customer specification
• Preference would be given to candidates with experience in Tekla, AISC, OSHA & CISC standards and those who worked extensively with US Commercial projects
• Having good skills in reading Design drawings
