Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Mumbai is seeking a structural engineer with 5-8 years of experience to lead FEED, concept and detailed engineering design for diverse structures in the Energy sector.

You will design RCC and steel elements, perform dynamic analysis, and work with STAAD Pro, ETABS and SAFE; knowledge of American and Euro codes is valued. This role is based in Mumbai with full-time onsite work.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in structural design across FEED, concept and detailed engineering.
• Detail design experience in Oil & Gas and Transmission & Distribution Substations; cross-industry knowledge acceptable.
• Hands-on design of RCC and steel structures.
• Experience with gravity and lateral loading frame systems.
• Experience in dynamic analysis for efficient structural systems.
• Knowledge of RIBA stages of works.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS and SAFE; knowledge of RISA 3D, Robot and Tekla Structural Designer is advantageous.
• Familiarity with international design standards (American & Euro codes); knowledge of National Grid and SSEN standards is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team within deadlines and budget.

• 5-8 years of exp in the structural design of elements on projects as required, undertaking FEED, Concept, and detailed engineering design of a wide variety of structures as needed.
• Detail design experience in Oil & Gas projects and Transmission & Distribution Substation projects is required. However, detailed knowledge of one industry and working knowledge of the other will also be considered.
• Hands on experience in designing RCC and Steel structures is a must.
• Hands on experience on all kinds of structural framing systems for gravity loads and lateral loads.
• Hands on experience on Dynamic analysis of Structures designing efficient structural systems.
• Should have knowledge of RIBA stages of works.
• Candidate should have experience with STAAD Pro, ETABS, and SAFE is mandatory. Proficiency in other software like RISA 3D, Robot, and Tekla Structural Designer is an advantage.
