Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Delhi seeks a senior structural engineer with 5–15 years of experience to lead discipline engineering work and ensure cost-effective project outcomes. You will review vendor documentation, manage procurement activities, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires strong communication, technical knowledge, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines on complex projects.

Qualifications

• A four-year engineering degree or global equivalent with 5–15 years of work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work habits.

Responsibilities

• Employ cost competitive engineering techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements and pursue discrepancy resolutions.
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Basic Job Requirements

• Four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and 5 -15 years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
• Ability to communicate effectively that includes but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards for US and European regions, commercial availability, and cost of materials
• Advanced knowledge of performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures (structural)
• Analyzing complex structures
• Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations (structural)
• Computer modeling and analysis (structural)
• Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
• Vendor drawing review, intergroup review – squad checking
• Checking design calculations and Drawings
• Connections designs and fabricator drawing checking
• Practical field experience and Intermediate computer and software skills
• Knowledge of working in Prefeed, FEED & Detail Engineering projects
• Managing and leading a small team/ Area lead on a bigger project
• Knowledge of Dynamic analysis and design (structural) will be an added advantage
