Job summary

Agnikul Cosmos is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our Flight Structures team, focusing on the dynamics performance and resilience of launch vehicle structures. You will build initial development hardware, perform and document static and dynamic analyses, and coordinate with CAD and FEA tools to ensure manufacturability and flight readiness from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis software.
• Strong understanding of Strength of Materials, Failure Criteria and Structural mechanics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build initial development hardware with focus on manufacturability.

ABOUT COMPANY

Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India.
