Job Title: Port Structural Auditor (Mechanical/Civil) - Daily Contract Basis

Employment Type: Contract (Per Day Basis)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Port Structural Auditor with a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering to assess the structural integrity of shipping port infrastructure (wharves, jetties, cranes, gantries, and storage facilities). Your expertise will ensure compliance with maritime safety standards, prevent structural failures, and optimize maintenance strategies in a high-stakes port environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site structural audits of port assets (steel/concrete structures, lifting equipment, pipelines).
Identify safety hazards, corrosion risks, and load-bearing deficiencies in port infrastructure.
Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions for port authorities/management.
Ensure adherence to international maritime codes (ISM, SOLAS) and local port regulations.
Collaborate with port engineers and maintenance teams for urgent repairs/upgrades.
Monitor wear-and-tear of heavy machinery (cranes, conveyor systems) and marine structures.

Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering (mandatory).
3+ years of hands-on experience in port/industrial structural audits (preferred).
Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or similar).
Knowledge of maritime safety standards (e.g., IMO, Class Society rules).
Strong report-writing skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to port sites and work in challenging environments.
