Job summary

FRND is seeking a Strategy Associate - International to join our dynamic team and lead strategic initiatives across markets. You will use SQL-driven analyses to inform decisions and collaborate with product, growth, and operations to tailorLocalization and product-market fit for international users.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in strategy or related roles, experience with growth initiatives in consumer tech, and a degree from IIT/BITS/IIM.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in strategy or related fields in a fast-paced environment.
• Graduation from IIT/BITS/IIM preferred.
• Experience with growth, expansion, or strategic initiatives for consumer internet, social, gaming, marketplace, or tech products.
• Experience scaling products across international markets.
• Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

We seek a motivated and analytical Strategy Associate - International to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and strategic initiatives that shape the future of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of strategic initiatives from inception to execution, collaborating cross-functionally with various teams to ensure successful implementation and achievement of objectives.
• Utilise SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets, enabling a deeper understanding and interpretation of key business metrics.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, competitor landscapes, and internal performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation.
• Analyse user behaviour, engagement metrics, and business performance across multiple geographies to drive scalable growth initiatives.
• Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to localise strategies and optimise product-market fit in international markets.
• Evaluate international market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Tier 1 institution ( preferably IIT, BITS, and IIM)
• Experience working on growth, expansion, or strategic initiatives for consumer internet, social, gaming, marketplace, or tech products is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated exposure to scaling products, businesses, or growth initiatives across international markets.
• Experience with rapid experimentation and iterating based on results to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong ability to generate strategy-driving insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build cross-functional alignment and foster collaboration.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with international expansion, localisation strategies, and go-to-market planning is a strong plus.
• Candidates who have worked in high-growth startups scaling products across multiple countries will be preferred.

The FRND team operates six days a week, with the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month as working days.
