We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a just and inclusive world through intentional policies and actions. Your individuality enriches our collective strength, and we strive to ensure everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered.

We are seeking one or two Strategic Account Managers to own relationships with our highest-value clients and serve as the connective tissue between customers and our global execution teams. The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for owning the end-to-end customer experience for a defined portfolio of high-value accounts. This role sits at the intersection of client management, delivery oversight, and internal coordination, ensuring projects move efficiently, communication is proactive, and CIR consistently delivers on commitments. This role requires strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort operating across time zones— particularly with delivery teams based in India.

This role is critical to CIR’s ability to scale: as project volume grows, client experience must improve, not degrade.

  • Client Ownership & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts; build trusted, long-term relationships with client stakeholders across Development, Engineering, PMs, and Executives; proactively manage client expectations around scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables; and lead recurring client check-ins, status calls, and executive updates.
  • Delivery Coordination & Oversight: Translate client needs into clear, actionable scopes for internal execution teams; coordinate daily handoffs and communication between U.S.-based stakeholders and India-based execution teams; monitor progress against schedules, identify risks early, and drive issue resolution; and ensure meeting minutes, action items, and next steps are documented and distributed promptly.
  • Time-Zone Coverage & Continuity: Provide extended coverage across U.S. and India time zones, ensuring no gaps in ownership; support structured handoff processes (HOTO) between PMs, engineers, and account stakeholders; and act as the “always-on” owner for strategic accounts, even as internal resources rotate.
  • Commercial & Account Growth Support: Identify opportunities to expand scope or upsell services within existing accounts; support renewals, follow-on work, and long-term account planning; and partner with Business Development and Operations leadership on account strategy.
  • Internal Process & Quality Improvement: Help refine account management processes, templates, and tools; provide feedback to leadership on recurring client pain points or delivery bottlenecks; and uphold CIR’s standards for professionalism, clarity, and execution quality.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in account management, project management, or client-facing operations.
  • Experience managing high-value or enterprise clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working across multiple time zones and with globally distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
  • Experience in renewable energy, power infrastructure, data centers, engineering, or EPC environments.
  • Prior experience working with or managing teams in India or other offshore delivery centers.
  • Familiarity with project execution workflows, interconnection, or engineering deliverables.
  • Experience with tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar PM platforms.
  • Strong judgment and clear, proactive communication when managing high-value client relationships.
  • Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with client stakeholders across all levels, from engineers to executives.
  • Comfort operating across multiple time zones and coordinating with globally distributed teams. o Strong organizational skills and follow-through when managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
