Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field is required.

• Proficiency with Veeam Backup & Replication in on-prem and virtual environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift, including KubeVirt VM backup concepts.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Backup and Always-On configurations.
• Exposure to SAN storage systems from NetApp and Lenovo.

Summary: The Storage and Backup Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of enterprise data across on-premises and virtualized environments. Reporting to the DC Manager/Infrastructure Head, this individual is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and optimization of backup, storage, and virtualization systems. The role focuses on maintaining high availability and disaster recovery readiness through robust backup strategies for Veeam, Kubernetes/OpenShift (KubeVirt), MS SQL Always-On, and SAN storage (NetApp & Lenovo). The administrator ensures compliance with security and audit standards (ISO/ISMS), drives SLA adherence, and collaborates cross-functionally with network, server, and database teams to deliver resilient data protection solutions.

Requirements
