Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Storage Administrator to manage Hitachi and Dell EMC storage ecosystems, including SAN NAS, RAID, and object storage. You will ensure availability, provisioning, and performance across DCs while coordinating with Linux/OpenShift/Windows teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes incident response, firmware updates, and creating SOPs to standardize storage operations and support critical business applications.

Qualifications

• Certifications Any certification in Storage Administrations, NAS, SAN
• Hands‑on experience in storage Hitachi and Dell EMC
• Solid experience in configuration of storage and SAN switches
• Strong knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, DAS, and object storage
• Experience of configuration of RAIDs
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB
• Experience with backup, recovery, and replication across DCs
• Solid understanding of storage performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with storage monitoring and management tools
• Experience in data migration in heterogeneous storage infra environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, SOPs

Responsibilities

• Integrity and availability of SAN/NAS hardware, network, and server resources and systems
• User creation and RBAC management and secure access
• Storage provisioning to users and applications
• Configuration of SAN switches to connect hosts
• Creation of storage pools and volumes
• Monitors, tracks, and maintains the performance of overall storage devices in operation
• Firmware upgrade on new releases or patches recommended by vendors
• Collaboration with business partners, OEMs/vendors and escalations
• Collaboration with OS teams such as Linux, Openshift, Windows, Backup, Networking and application development team
• Perform storage migration, replications and space management
• Identify risks/issues and maintain risk registers
• Identifies, isolates, and troubleshoots issues on incidents and problem management
• Storage commissioning and decommissioning
• Creation of SOPs

Storage Administrator

Hitachi Block Storage (VSP 5600), Hitachi File Storage (One File 34), Dell EMC, Hitachi Backup Appliance (Flex 5360), Object Storage (HCP), Brocade SAN Switches

Preferred candidate profile

• Certifications Any certification in Storage Administrations, NAS, SAN
• Major experience of storage administration, storage replication, storage managing Consoles, software/hardware-defined storage
• Hands‑on experience in storage Hitachi and Dell EMC.
