Position Overview
We are looking for a well-groomed, courteous, and service-oriented Steward to join our premium restaurant team. The Steward will be responsible for providing warm and professional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience that reflects the standards of a luxury restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Present menus, explain specials, and assist guests in making informed choices.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, following fine-dining service standards.
- Ensure tables are properly set, cleaned, and reset as per restaurant standards.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation in the dining area.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized attention to enhance the dining experience.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely order delivery.
- Handle guest queries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism.
- Support the Restaurant Captain and Manager in smooth service operations.
Requirements
- 0–7 years of experience as a Steward/Waiter in a premium or fine-dining restaurant/hotel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of food, wines, and beverages (fine dining etiquette preferred).
- Well-groomed appearance with a pleasing personality.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
