Job summary

EY is seeking a Staff / Advanced Analyst to support multi-country corporate and statutory reporting, including financial statement preparation, Local GAAP adjustments and statutory audit support.

You will work within a centralized reporting process, produce timely reports, perform balance reconciliations, and collaborate with audit teams, using SAP or Oracle, Workiva or CaseWare.

Qualifications

• CA Fresher (preferred); or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, accounting or audit support.
• Very good knowledge of Excel.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the compliance calendar to support timely book finalization and statutory reporting.
• Understand client requirements by knowledge of business processes and operations.
• Adhere to defined processes and timelines for reports and schedules.
• Update dashboards to communicate activity progress and status of multi-country engagements.
• Provide timely responses to client queries.
• Support preparation of statutory financial statements and related reporting schedules across jurisdictions.
• Support GAAP-to-Local GAAP adjustments, including reconciliations.
• Assist statutory audits through preparation of schedules and audit evidence and by responding to auditor requests.
• Extract, review and validate financial data using SAP or Oracle; support reporting with Workiva or CaseWare.
• Perform trial balance reviews, reconciliations and variance analyses; elevate unusual balances.

Your key responsibilities

• Adhere meticulously to the clients compliance calendar to support timely book finalization and statutory reporting.
• Understand client requirements by developing a thorough knowledge of business processes and operations.
• Adhere to defined processes and timelines for reports and schedules.
• Update dashboards to communicate activity progress and the status of multi-country engagements.
• Provide timely and comprehensive responses to client queries.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and related reporting schedules across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the preparation and documentation of Group GAAP-to-Local GAAP adjustments, including related reconciliations.
• Support statutory audits through the preparation of supporting schedules and audit evidence and by responding to auditor requests.
• Extract, review and validate financial data using SAP or Oracle ERP systems and support reporting through tools such as Workiva or CaseWare.
• Perform trial balance reviews, account reconciliations and variance analyses, and elevate unusual balances or exceptions.
• Support process standardization, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• CA Fresher (preferred); or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, accounting or audit support.
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS.

Preferred skills and experience

• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or Oracle
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another language, such as French or Spanish, would be an advantage
• Experience in statutory financial statement preparation and statutory reporting
• Exposure to statutory audit support and preparation of audit schedules
• Exposure to Workiva or CaseWare
