Job summary

Crowe is seeking an experienced corporate auditor in India to oversee statutory audits and related reporting. The role requires deep knowledge of Indian financial laws, IFRS/Ind AS, and robust audit execution across schedules and regulatory frameworks.

The ideal candidate will lead a team, draft high-quality reports (CARO, IFC), and ensure timely, compliant conclusions while identifying efficiency improvements across engagements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, and Goods and Services Act.
• Deep knowledge of Schedule III, Standards on Auditing, and Accounting Standards; understanding of Indian AS/IFRS.
• Adequate experience in statutory audits under IGAAP and Ind AS.
• Experience in drafting Audit Reports, CARO Reports and IFC Reports.
• Experience in Tax audits, Transfer Pricing certification, and related certification.
• Ability to independently manage the Audit process with risk and technical considerations.
• Schedule audits, allocate workloads, and assign responsibilities to junior staff.
• Review team work for accuracy and compliance; complete audits on time.

Job description

Candidate must have adequate working knowledge in the field of corporate auditing, including but not restricted to the following:

• Aware of the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, 1961, Goods and Services Act, 2017, etc. and Rules thereon.
• Deep Knowledge of Schedule III, Standards on Auditing and Accounting Standards is must as well as preliminary understanding of Indian Accounting Standards / IFRS
• Adequate experience in statutory audits under IGAAP as well as Ind AS
• Experience in Drafting Audit Report, CARO Report & IFC Report is must
• Experience in preparing Tax audit, Transfer Pricing certification and Certification
• Independently manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
• Schedule audits, identify staff, and assign workloads, and Allocate responsibilities to junior and staff auditors
• Review team members work for accuracy and compliance
• Complete audits on time and submit reports to senior manager / partner
• Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
