Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Statistical Analyst to review table mockups, CRFs and edit check specifications; collaborate with biostatisticians and clinical staff to generate data tables, figures and listings.

You will write and document programs, perform ad hoc programming, and perform QC tasks to ensure data integrity. A BS/BA with 3-5 years or MS with 18 months of related work experience is required.

Qualifications

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives

The Statistical Analyst will review table mockups, CRFs and edit check specifications; work with biostatisticians and clinical staff to generate data tables, figures and listings; write and document programs; perform ad hoc programming; and perform QC tasks.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform QC of tables, presentations and reports.
• Review CRFs, edit check specifications and table mock-ups.
• Assist in creation of table mockups under supervision of statisticians or senior statistical analysts
• Generate or validate table programs
• Perform adhoc programming with assistance from statisticians or senior statistical analysts
• Provide data listing or summary to Data Management for data cleaning
• Document programs and specifications
• Demonstrate knowledge of SAS data steps, procedures and macros
• Be able to use and modify existing macros
• Provide accurate and timely answers to routine questions
• Communicate an understanding of basic clinical principles for his/her project and acts in accordance with those principles.
• Inform supervisor or manager on important issues in a timely manner.

Education / Experience Required

BS or BA with 3-5 years or MS with 18 months of related work experience

Position interacts with customers from clinical research. Effective communication with various levels of personnel is required regularly.
