Job summary

SOLARA is seeking a enthusiastic, detail-oriented Junior Photo & Static Image Editor to join our Creative & Marketing team in India. You will deliver engaging, high-quality images that align with our brand and audience needs, working with photographers, designers, and leads to manage shoots, edits, and archives.

You will review and edit photos, perform retouching, and contribute to color grading and image consistency across campaigns.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as Photo Editor or Digital Retoucher.
• Portfolio demonstrating editing, retouching, and storytelling.
• Proficient with AI tools in editing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Image Editing & Manipulation: Review photos, perform retouches, and edit to high visual quality using professional software.
• Creative Enhancements: Lighting adjustments, composition tweaks, background replacements, color grading across batches.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Work with photographers and designers to create content for digital and marketing channels.
• Quality & Audience Assurance: Ensure photos meet high quality standards for target audiences.

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Junior Photo & Static Image Editor with a strong creative flair and an eye for detail to join our creative team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging, visually appealing, and high-quality images that align with our brand message and audience’s needs.

Working closely with photographers, graphic designers, and creative leads, you will help coordinate shoots, review and edit photos, manipulate digital assets, and maintain our image archive.

Key Responsibilities

• Image Editing & Manipulation: Review photos, perform retouches, and make necessary edits to achieve the highest visual quality using professional image editing software.
• Creative Enhancements: Decide on and implement appropriate lighting adjustments, composition tweaks, background replacements, color composition, and color grading across batches of images.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Coordinate with photographers to understand shoot requirements, collaborate with graphic designers, and create visually engaging content for digital and marketing channels.
• Quality & Audience Assurance: Ensure all photos meet high-quality standards and are appropriate for our target audiences.
• Project Management & Timelines: Ensure all photo assignments are shot, edited, and delivered on time for publication.
• Asset Management: Maintain a structured archive and database of images for seamless team access and organization.
• Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with new computer imaging, image editing technologies, and emerging digital photographic techniques.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Work Experience: Proven work experience as a Photo Editor, Digital Retoucher, or similar role with at least 2+ years of experience and the ability to work with AI tools.
• Portfolio: A strong photo editing portfolio demonstrating strong creative flair, photo manipulation skills, and storytelling ability.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop , Lightroom , Capture One , or other photography-specific software.
• Photographic Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of computer imaging, studio management basics, photographic techniques, and color composition.
