A leading financial services firm in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. The role involves requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management in relation to cash applications. Candidates should have 8-12 years of experience, strong communication skills, and a background in financial applications. Knowledge of SQL and Agile practices is highly desirable. The position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across global teams and contribute to project planning and monitoring.
Senior Business Analyst will involve in the requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, stakeholder management, priority management, project planning, monitoring and resource allocation in the Cash application.
Requirement & projects will be new functional requirements, regulatory requirements, automation projects and migration projects where the candidate will involve deep functional analysis and requirement understanding to draft the detailed implementation proposal to the business and IT, also to chart out the testing strategy.
Stakeholder management requires IT representation in multiple business forums and communicate the achievements and challenges accordingly.
Candidate will guide the team in the Agile practices as required, should be using the JIRA extensively to manage the project and support items of the project. Having SQL Knowledge would be great in independent analysis of the application data.
The candidate should be responsible in meeting business delivarables consistently with the quality.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills that foster close collaboration with various teams.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, stakeholder management, priority management, project and resource planning, and monitoring
Deep analysis and detailed understanding of the business requirements and capturing them in the relevant documents with the details
Plan and execute the integration and user acceptance testing
Do the functional and data analysis for the support queries / defects raised
Represent IT in the business meetings and communicate the status updates regularly
Understand the business priorities and ensure the team deliveres those priorities
Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications
Collaborate and communicate well with the internal and global teams as required
Be proactive in identifying and communicating the risks
Provide ongoing support for level three production issues
Minimum Job Specifications
8 – 12 years of professional experience in software development industry
Solid experience as BA in large scale financial applications
Working experience in trading and asset portfolio construction applications especially in Cash asset class
Working experience in all the phases of the project
Strong written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with the business, developers, QA, and operations
Strong analytic, problem solving and collaborative skills
Basic knowledge in writing database SQL queries
Any specific experience with Trading and Portfolio Construction in Asset Management Industry is preferable
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
BA Skills
Sound experience as BA in IT
Good Working Experience in asset management portfolio construction and trading applications
Good to have experience in the Cash Assets trading
Stakeholder management, Agile project management, and Resource Planning
Experience using JIRA for project management, various documentation tools
Familiar to database technologies (SQL & PLSQL)
