Catering to childhood cancer patients from primarily underprivileged families, CanKids is present in 141 hospitals across India. Through our signature programYANA (You Are Not Alone)– CanKids provides medical, drugs & diagnostics support, accommodation through Home Away from Homes, , patient transport, blood support, nutrition & rations, education and counselling support.

Job Description
Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the strategic execution and oversight of state-level National Operations Plan (NOP) activities. This pivotal role is responsible for translating national program goals into actionable state-level strategies, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of objectives as defined in partner agreements. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by managing budgets, fostering high-level government partnerships, and building a capable team. By serving as the primary liaison between the organization and state authorities, this leader will ensure seamless collaboration with healthcare facilities and government departments, ultimately enhancing service delivery and program impact across the region.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Program Execution: Direct the planning, implementation, and monitoring of all state-level activities, ensuring strict adherence to the annual operational plan, budget, and national program objectives.
- Government Relations & Partnerships: Act as the primary point of contact for government entities to secure approvals and facilitate collaboration with state departments and hospitals, while representing the organization at state forums, consortiums, and official meetings.
- Team Management & Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, social workers, and support staff, organizing training sessions, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives to foster team growth.
- Data Management & Evaluation: Maintain accurate and timely program management information system (MIS) dashboards using platforms like Salesforce, coordinate research and impact assessment studies, and submit comprehensive narrative and financial reports to senior management.
- Resource Mobilization: Drive local donor engagement, cultivate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships, and explore grant opportunities to support fundraising and volunteer initiatives.
- Operational Oversight & Quality Assurance: Monitor service delivery standards at Community Health Service Units (CHSUs) and Hospital Assistance Hospitals (HAH), overseeing daily operations including patient support, travel logistics, and welfare services to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: A Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Hospital Administration (MHA), or Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
- Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in program management, with a strong preference for candidates from the health or development sectors.
- Leadership & Coordination: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate complex initiatives effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record in managing government relations and engaging diverse stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
- Operational Expertise: Strong proficiency in project planning, budget management, and the end-to-end implementation of programs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to network effectively at all levels.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with MIS systems, particularly Salesforce, for data tracking and reporting.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Hindi; proficiency in regional languages is highly desirable.
