Role & responsibilities
  • Recruitment Strategy & Execution: Lead the recruitment efforts for technical roles across welding, fitting, machine operations, and plumbing, ensuring timely and effective hires.
  • Collaboration with Operations Teams: Work closely with department heads and line managers to understand staffing requirements and ensure the alignment of talent acquisition efforts with operational needs.
  • Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Utilize multiple channels (job portals, recruitment agencies, networking, etc.) to source and screen candidates with the right technical skills, certifications, and experience.
  • Staffing Agency Management: Build and maintain relationships with external staffing agencies and vendors to ensure a steady pipeline of skilled talent for urgent requirements.
  • Onboarding & Training: Oversee the smooth onboarding of new hires, ensuring they are properly trained on safety protocols and technical processes.
  • Talent Pool Management: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for various technical roles, ensuring readiness for future hiring needs.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and retention rates.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all hires meet legal and industry-specific compliance standards (e.g., certifications, safety regulations).
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the staffing team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure recruitment goals are met.
