Job summary

Vena Solutions, based in Pune, India, is hiring a Staff Technical Lead for the Core Engineering Front End team. You will lead a hands-on frontend engineering group, drive architectural decisions, and modernize core frontend infrastructure for our cloud-native SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of frontend software development experience.
• 2+ years leading a software development team as a Tech Lead or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience maintaining a design system and large codebases.
• Proven ability to plan, mitigate risks, and deliver SaaS roadmaps.
• Hands-on in Agile environments and mentoring engineers.

Vena Solutions is seeking a Staff Technical Lead for our Core Engineering Front End team. You will act as the engineering team leader driving high-quality delivery of improvements to the front end systems while staying hands-on and contributing to the codebase for our cloud-native SaaS platform. This role involves a meaningful mix of steady-state maintenance, feature work, and active modernization efforts on core front end infrastructure. How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead day-to-day engineering operations for the Core Engineering front end team, ensuring consistent delivery of improvements while maintaining and improving long‑term codebase quality and sustainability.
• Serve as the technical leader within the team, driving front end architecture decisions and system design in alignment with the broader architectural vision.
• Own and evolve the team's design system, ensuring consistency, reusability, and quality across the product.
• Lead modernization efforts on core front end infrastructure, helping the team move the codebase forward incrementally and responsibly.
• Tackle complex front end technical challenges, providing hands‑on solutions while empowering team members to contribute effectively.
• Collaborate closely with the team’s Manager, Product Managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure roadmaps are realistic, delivery commitments are met, and resource gaps are proactively identified and addressed.
• Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, pair programming, and thoughtful code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Champion long‑term codebase health by ensuring technical debt is appropriately identified, prioritized, and addressed during sprint and quarterly planning.
• Act as a Guild or Chapter Lead, driving cross‑team alignment and advancing front end engineering practices at the organizational level.
• Drive the adoption of AI‑driven development practices and innovative tooling to enhance engineering productivity and accelerate high‑quality software delivery.

We'd Love to See

• 5-8 years of experience in front end software development
• 2+ years of experience leading a software development team as a Tech Lead, or operating in a similar leadership capacity
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience working with and maintaining a design system
• Experience working on and modernizing large, established codebases
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the software development lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience delivering against SaaS product roadmaps with a focus on improving development efficiency and delivery outcomes
• Strong track record in mentoring engineers and leading effective project planning and execution
• Hands‑on experience working within Agile development environments
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Interest in AI and willingness to explore AI‑driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Backbone.js is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and back end integration patterns
• Experience with front end testing frameworks such as Playwright (Storybook and Selenium a plus)
• Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline and/or equivalent experience

Base salary range 3,799,461 - 5,140,448 INR
