Overview
System Validation Staff Engineer at onsemi India is a Pre‑Silicon System Validation Engineer role for FPGA‑based validation of power‑conversion ICs. Based in Bangalore, the position involves defining requirements, developing emulation platforms based on the SoC RTL, and validating product functionality through hands‑on hardware, software, and system‑level testing.
Responsibilities
- Port SoC RTL to FPGA, including placement, timing closure, and emulation bring‑up.
- Develop Verilog models to emulate analog functions on FPGA.
- Perform FPGA verification, system integration, and lab testing.
- Support ongoing FPGA and board‑level validation activities.
- Use Python and C/C++ for simulation and data analysis.
- Conduct pre‑silicon verification using simulation tools and FPGA platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of power‑conversion circuits and mixed‑signal blocks (ADC, DAC, PLL, amplifiers).
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, I2S and related control/communication interfaces.
- Experience with Arm Development Studio (Cortex‑A9).
- Familiarity with Jama, Jira, and Confluence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electronic or Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8+ years relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in FPGA design flow (verification, synthesis, partitioning, P&R, timing closure).
- Hands‑on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscope, signal/spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, electronic loads, etc.).
- Knowledge of interface and communication protocols (SPI, I2C).
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve silicon, board, and software‑related issues.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
