Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking engineers to contribute to a cloud-driven networking platform in Bengaluru. You will work on microservices, Docker and Kubernetes, and implement Golang or C code across the product lifecycle.

Role emphasizes Linux, CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC interfaces with L2/L3 routing knowledge. This is a hands-on, integrated development position in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• BTech in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Strong coding in Golang or C and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC.
• Linux experience with data structures and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to the full Product Life Cycle.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based architecture.
• Work with Docker containers and Kubernetes (K8s, K3s).
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and Git workflow.
• Implement OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC interfaces.
• Contribute to L2/L3 OSI protocols and routing knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle
• Micro services-based Architecture, working experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s)

cluster, Helm charts

• Strong coding and debugging experience using Golang or C
• Linux OS, Data structures, IPC mechanisms. Understanding of multi-threading/routines.
• Agile Development Model with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline and working knowledge of Git environment.
• Working knowledge of OpenConfig NETCONF/GNMI/GRPC
• Proficiency in L2/L3 OSI layer Protocols - LACP ; LAGs; BGP ; BFD; EVPN; MPLS/VPLS; ARP; and L2 switching; L3 Routing

• Good Written/Verbal Communication Skills
